Giving the Gospel
One third of all humans haven't heard the Gospel. That's 2.34 billion people that haven't heard the Gospel.
Gospel Givers aims to change that and spread the gospel with as many people as possible.
Our aim is to share the gospel with as many people as possible following the command of Jesus to share the good news of the gospel. We want to do this by sharing the good news ourselves and training Christians up in sharing the good news. It can be as simple as leaving leaflets places or handing them out to talking to strangers about the gospel and/or street preaching. In any of these ways the good news of the gospel is shared and that's the main thing
Meet the Evangelists
Caleb Perkins
Caleb became a Christian at age 4 and started sharing his faith from the young age of 10. He has always had a passion for the word of God and sharing it with others and sees his confidence a gift from God. He uses each day to share the good news of the gospel
Sola Ayegboyin
Passionate about sharing the gospel - there's not a day that goes by where Sola is not out sharing the wonderful word of God. You can often hear him on the streets exclaiming that there is good news to passers by. He has a passionate love for Christ and his word
You Cared About Your own Salvation, Now it's time to Care about the Salvation of Others
We as Christians have cared about our salvation by getting right with God. Surely we should care about those destined for hell and teach them the good news that there is hope and hell doesn't have to be the final destination
For Those Wanting to Share the Good News
Have those convos
A lot of evangelism and spreading the gospel is about having those important conversations whether it is with a family member, friend, work collegue or spouse or even a complete stranger, these conversations are really important in getting out the gospel message. These conversations don't have to be long rather they can be short and sweet and concise and to the point
Planting those Seeds
Once those conversations have taken place it's not simply moving onto the next person. Instead it's building a relationship with that person in the hopes that those seeds planted in people would grow and grow and the way to do that is by taking the courage to ask for someone's contact and following up, inviting them for a coffee to talk more about the gospel and what Jesus means to them or inviting them to church
Watching the Growth
It is also helpful to watch the word of God go into action. It never returns void. Those people you told about Jesus may end up coming to church with you one Sunday or try praying for the first time ever. That is why it is so important to stay in touch with them to find out what growth in the gospel is taking place in their life thanks to you plucking up the courage to share the gospel with them
For Those that Don't Know What the Good News is
Here is a short video explaining the good news (also known as the gospel) which is being taught by Gospel Givers - give it a watch to get an idea of what the gospel is and the good news we are so eager to share
Gospel Means Good News
So what is the gospel? The gospel is the good news that even though we broke God's commands - lied, stolen, hated people, used God's name in vain - He loved us enough to send his son to die in our place and take the full wrath of God we deserved that if we put our faith in him and repent which means turn away from sin we can have eternal life and don't have to go to hell which we deserve to go to for our wrong doing
